it was released in 2001
its a triple cd, if you like music by alva noto, kid 606,
thomas brinkmann, matmos,... you should check this
very minimalistic, but cool

I'm enjoying my Slanted And Enchanted re-release I bought
Friday. I never really enjoyed them before but now I see
their Pixies-ish charm. I'm ten years late to the party...
so what else is new...

In the liner notes it says everyone compared them to The
Fall, but I think they sound a lot like Sonic Youth with a
poppier sensibility. By which I mean, they aren't as
concerned with subliminally screaming "THIS IS ARTY". I mean
it's still fairly arty by normal standards but you can kick
back to it instead of having to sit in approved Art
Appreciation postures pretending to concentrate.

It was 25 smackers Canadian which is about 0.02 in any other
currency except maybe Italian. The two peel sessions
included are terrific. They were never released before this.
The live show is great too. Really tight and aggro with good
sound. Two disks and a pretty perfect-bound booklet, die for
me, how can you do any less!
