yeah we've got it over here too

i think its hilarious - she claims she was researching a
role when she got done for shoplifting

i'll have to remember that one next time i get caught. AND
she'll probably get away with it aswell

shoplifitng plus she oxy on her (very stroung opiates..aka
'Hillbilly Heroin')...

I agree...it's not really news...but people do love their
celebrities for some reason; most I think live their live
vicariously thru these famous people....

gotta love the spectacle of it all...

You'll get me ranting situationist theory if I go any
further so I'll stop there; once started it's not a pretty
sight....;)..

I saw some show one night where the BIG deal was that they
were gonna reveal what was in the bag she shoplifted. It's
sad when that's the main draw of a show.. it's like
televised tabloids. I did watch it because I was curious
though *blush* ;)

Hadn't heard she had oxy on her...

I read that in some poll 70% of Americans thought that
celebrities shouldn't have to go to prison. I think people
do just see it as a drama rather tha real life. Mind you,
the other extreme is unfair too, celebrities getting treated
badly/made an example of just because they're famous. Whilst
I don't agree with what Archer did breaking the terms of his
prison, most inmates there had been caught doing it at some
point so it seemed unfair to make an example of him just
because he is an unpopular character. Cue Jonesy, "You're a
tory through and through...&etc." ;)

Why is it everything a celebrity does is so important? Do we
sit here discussing if RDJ had a wank last night? NO! Why is
it that the mainstream media find it so interesting to
discuss these things. The John Leslie case makes sense. He's
been accused of rape. That is a horrific crime. Stealing a
few clothes from a shop is not really newsworthy. So what if
she was researching the role. Who cares what she was
wearing. She's not peddling drugs to kids is she. Fucking
hell I hate the tabloids.

I was feeling kinda sorry about her..feeling like she was
being crucified for being the punky goth chick etc.but then
sawher posing around with free Winona T Shirt on the cover
of W magazine..thenit suddenlyclicked and fell in
place..just a PR excercise to get a lagging flagging carrer
back in gear...notority can work wonders..just ask Hugh
Grant...

Divine Brown was going to go back to College but she
couldn't.

She'd already blown one Grant.

This does smell of a PR thing. I can't think of a good
Winona film since Ed Scissorhands.
