This guy is 100% pure live evil. He's not right. I know some
Aphex fans who think this guy is too abrasive.

Yeah i just listened to a 3 min track of his...pretty good.
a bit of noise with some central theme going on. i wouldn't
call it totally abrasive...merzbow is more abrasive. have
you heard merzbow's work? or aube's? they'll tear your head
off.

What? Come To Daddy isn't hard? It's pure noise terrorism.

yeah, I like it as well...

It's IDM but closer to Noise terror a la Mertzbow that
anything else....

but as I said in anothe thread, IDM is big enough to
encompass RH & Panasonic...it's big appeal to these ears and
mind....

CTS is pop compared to the more extreme noise artists like
RH tho....

I can't see any purpose to it myself, it's just noise. You
can't say Haswell isn't emotionally-detatched, he's the
spawn of satan. I genuinely believe this guy would be out
raping and murdering children if he wasn't making noise.

NPN....look at rock stars screaming their heads off at rock
concerts. do you think they go raping people cause they
scream so loud and strum their guitars like there is no
tomorrow? no!!

People like russel haswell do the same thing but through
computers. they put all this energy into a song and just
turn it up like at a rock concert. the guy is probably a
really nice guy in real life.

btw, i like noise. i like sound. and i like listenign to
stuff most people wouldn't...anything outside around the
house...cars going by...generators. its nice.

so i like people like merzbow and russel (although
admitingly i havn' heard much from him) and aube....i like
to see what they can accomplish with sound...be it
minimalistic to extreme pressure.

IDM? I think soul-rape would be a better term for Haswell.
And Merzbow.

noise, if harnassed and used properly under extreme caution
and scientific analysis, it can, under certain conditions,
be incredibly diverse and 'intelligent, thus improving the
listener's IQ beyond human!
