I have no problem with genres Ok some of them are really retarded but it makes talking about music easier. You can say stuff like "Last night i heard a great dub/jazz fusion band " instead of having to describe everything in detail. IDM as a genre is pretty old now right ? Even "Two Step" was created after IDM ? I don't know. |

IDM is like over 10yrs old....so many many genres since then, too numourous to mention.... but IDM is one of those ares that encompasses so many genres...that's why we love it so much, I guess... |

Its all too confusing to think about..... Lets see...... Idm,noise,drill'n'bass,elctro,industrial, techno,minimilist techno,acid house,trip hop,dub,beat,jungle....etc. These sort of things are sub-genres IMO. People just make them up....... |
