Beck - Sea Change

i was into him when 'odelay' got released, but 'mutations'
turned me off.

just gave 'sea change' a few listens, not bad at all.
pretty mellow album. his songwritting, lyrics and voice
have all matured.

any opinions on this particular release?

veeeeeeeeeeeery low.
excellent songs but altogether a bit too low for me.
refreshing after his prince-influenced Midnite Vultures
though.

in my experiece talking with friends, you either like

odelay & mixed bizness

or

mutations & sea change

i'm definately in the latter category. odelay is ok, but
mixed bizness does nothing for me. on the other hand, i
loved mutations, and when i first heard sea change, i got
that feeling as you do when you here a really special album
for the 1st time. i'm even trying not to listen to it too
much, just in case i spoil it.

personally, i'd give it album of the year. my only hope is
that it will eventually come out on vinyl. the best album
he's done, imo.

awesome. 10/10.

if you read the words in your post in order, it says "beck
sucks bile. awesome!".

just a pointless observation.

one thing's for sure, he's probably the most 'hit & miss'
artist i can think of

you love him or you hate him, i guess because his sound is
pretty unique
