in 5 years i think they'll have learned new ways to bring
their vision into ever clearer focus which is what i think
has been going on since they started.

in the discography section
the first single/e.p.

cavity job is my favorite autechre track by far. it's all
been downhill since, with a rapidly decreasing slope.

"now... i don't want you to panic...just lay back... and
relax"
:drill starts:
"gsaghaghsghrrraaaghg!trahghghssghgs!"

i think they're going to put mics to their arse and modulate
their own farts...and put in crazy beats.

With how things are going, even though "techno" seems to be
the current trend in popular music, I have a feeling
Autechre won't even be around in 5 years. They'll probably
split up and do something new on their own.

one word that sums up autechre to me is introverted. I
think their stuff is going to get more and more far out and
introverted sounding and more and more difficult to
understand.

on a side note, in recent years there IS alot of melody in
their music it's just difficult to recignise due to the
oddness of the frequencies and the lack of volume in the
mix.

I think in 5 years technology will be really really
advanced. Id like to think about ae in 10-15 years.
That'll be nuts. Ae might evolve with more purities in
chaos. I think they might get going so fast it will appear
to be really slow. Speeding things up to incomprehensible
speeds and putting in super harsh frequencies. Maybe like
that one person said they'll find out how to use light
somehow...perhaps finding a way to make light into music.
who knows.

they might do psychological stuff. altering our thinking
patterns and what we see with minimalistic 45 min peices.
id like to see that.

whatever happens, ae will be the innovators.

The true Zen of AE is that they are always the same, only
the listener changes...

:)...

contradict this rule.
