I agree, that was an amazing game.. Unfortunately, the
sequels couldn't live up to the standards set by the first.
The original Master of Orion was another really good game
from the boys at Microprose.

oh, are you referring to X-Com? Yes I have Terror from the
Deep and Apocalypse, botyh of which are good but don't have
the magic of the first installment. Man once they came out
with Interceptor and Alliance I had already lost interest..
too bad. I never played alot of Master of orion, but what I
did play was quite creative and fun.. I had a hard time
getting the hang of it, but it was very cool.

The management is a bit overwhelming at first until you get
a firm grasp on it... After that, the galaxy is your
oyster.
Do you like any of the Civilization or Alpha Centauri games?
Really nice for a change of pace - Semi-educational too.

Yes it was a bit confusing, but then again X-Com was at
first also. I guess it's just a matter of time and
practice.

err.. sad to say I'm not familiar with the other games
though, other than watching friends play Civilization once
or twice. so you would reccommend them then? I rarely play
PC games anymore.. too many messageboards and things.. :)

I would recommend them both. Civ III and Alpha Centauri
specifically.. Only start playing them if you have more
than 24 hour days out there in San Antonia though.
Addicting and time consuming, they aren't the sort of game
you can just save and turn off when your mates stop by.

Lord, I'm such a nerd.

haha, alright. yeah you are giving off that nerd vibe, but
then again I'm the one who sits around on this stupid
message board til like 4am. :-) Yeah sounds like I should be
careful with those games what with homework and all.. but
come Christmas vacation they're fair game. thanks again.
