yea the gravediggaz are great.. they're interesting cos you
can really divide their music evenly between prince paul
produced "horror rap" and rza produced "conscious rap". i
like both but as a wu-tang fan i have to go with the sickle
album as my fav.

I prefer rza's works myself, he's always been one of my
favorite hip-hop producers, I like his more abstract stuff

I dig them. I used to know the lyrics to Rza's part
of Diary of a Madman by heart.

Have you ever heard the stupid extra track that was on the
promo version but not the real release - with samples of
Micheal Jackson talking about getting arrested for child
abuse, while the gravediggaz accuse him of stealing the demo
tapes from the studio..?

Funny, crazy shit.

what's the name of it? i'll look for an mp3, sounds
hilarious

I dont know track name - somebody gave me a copy of the
promo on casette about 6 months before it came out. I
imagine there were some serious legal obstacles to
releaseing that track.

Jeez - that was 1994. I still have the tape though - If i
knew how to make an MP3 from a casette I would do it - it is
really really funny.

Actually, just out of curiousity, is it possible to make mp3
from analogue tape? I would love to have that track in some
more permanent format...

sure. connect an aux line (very standard, probably came with
your stereo, discman, turntables, whatever) from your stereo
to the aux line-in in your soundcard. start recording a wav,
start playing the tape, finish, encode, voila! mp3 from
cassette. lemme know if you're able to make an mp3 from it!

the rza is awesome! I like the gravediggaz I have since I
heard 1-800 in Demon Knight! the only good thing that came
outta that movie was the sountrack turnin me on to the
Gravediggaz and Filter!

have any of you heard the score to Ghost Dog: The Way of the
Samuri? there's some kickass tracks on that!

6 Feet Deep was great but the second album was pretty poor.
What happened?

Hey, I've wanted that for ages but have never seen it.

I have a Portishead remix of a Gravdiggaz track but its
rather disappointing.
