Oh my good fucking god. This game is going to be fucking awesome. I'm holding off building my new computer so I can have as advanced a computer as possible when it's released. Titsworth's site has a link to a website you can download a video from.

I'n school we had "homework diaries" where we were meant to write homework in to remind ourselves and teachers wrote comments (usually negative) about us. I found some kids diary that had a couple of doom cheats in, I added a load, "Idspispopd", &etc. plus the rather amusing fictional one, "idhaveyourmum" .
Does anyone remeber in rise of the triad, if you entered the doom cheats they'd do the opposite? Like kill you or take all your weapons...

ROTT was okay, but it was too linear.....it was based on the engine for Wolfenstein 3D (ROTT was supposed to be Wolf3D's sequel), and it didn't allow for walls at angles other than 90 degress and stuff
but rott was cool coz of the firebomb missle launcher, and the amount of blood you got off shooting someone! heh

yeah, Duke Nukem Forever
it's been in development for about 3 or 4 years now they say it'll be done "when it's done"
they said it'd use a modified Unreal engine, but i reckon that's too out of date now
anyway's, they're supposed to be doing a movie too

lol
these are the games films that i know of at the moment that are supposed to be coming out, and my opinion's on them:
Aliens versus Predator I reckon this will be really good, I've been waiting for this one to come of age ever since we saw the Alien skull in Predator 2.
DOOM I really don't think this would make a good film. It was a GREAT game, but I think it'd make a terrible film.
Duke Nukem THis would be great because there'd be plenty of chance for guns, explosives, baddies, and last but not least, girls
heh
what more can you say?
lol

duke nukem would be a winner, yes
but i never understood aliens vs predator (never read the comics, you'll have to forgive me :)) 2 supermonsters from incompatible films put together just sucks, imho :(
aliens and predators in one movie would severly test the original alien's credibility, imo. i hope this film won't happen. i'd rather have alien5, throw winona ryder in once again and i'm happy

i've never read the comics either, but think about it - they're both EXTREMELY formidable creatures.....one is more animalistic and relies on it's claws, the other is a hunter and uses some technology.
both are very good at what they do best - killing
i reckon it'd be a really good film!
but it would need a very good writer.
to be honest, Alien 3 should never have happened, and hence Resurrection - there's no WAY the egg could have gotten on the Sulaco in Aliens - the queen didn't have the egg sack!!
but now i'm going into movie geek mode, so i'll shut up now! lol

geek mode - on hehe
i mean, alien is set FAR INTO THE FUTURE!!! predator isn't, or at least not THAT far :)
yeah the fights would be nice, but i want at least some tension as in the first alien. the scariest bits were the scenes in which you didn't yet know what the alien looked like or what it was gonna do next...
psychological fear is much more fulfilling, i think, than scary looking monsters or good fights :)

yeah i know Aliens is set in the future, but the Predators have been hunting in space since before 1715 (as proved in Predator 2,, when the "Leader" throws the old flintlock pistol to Harrigan) so there's nothing to say they wouldn't carry on hunting way into the future
i know what you mean about psychological fear - i was brought up on stuff like freddy kruger and Aliens and Jason, etc etc etc and they haven't ever scared me that much, but tehre's ONE film that scared the crap out of me - Blair Witch Project (i know, you're probably gonna have a laugh at that) but it's just a VERY scary film!!
Signs ALMOST got there...that was pretty scary too

the thing in blair witch that scared FCUK out of me, was the end, where she sees that guy just stood in the corner, just like they said that killer used to make the kids do
that was the scariest part for me
i haven't seen mouth of madness
but event horizen is REALLY cool!!!!!

they're changing the gameplay so that you only fight a few monsters at a time, as opposed to the insane onslaught of doom2. this change in gameplay might just ruin the feel of it.

yeah, that's what i thought they'd do
with the way the games are now though, the amount of graphics and stuff, you'd need a Cray to play it!!
It is a real shame, but I guess we're gonna have to put up with it
at least it'll give them a chance to give us some suspense anyways!

The Unreal engine can't go out of date really. It works in a modular fashion. Each time a new "gimmick" is designed for it they can use it in Duke Nukem Forever. This means the Engine will be just as good as anything else when it's finally released.
