AFX & NIN

in the AFXFAQ it mentions about RDJ having an interest in
touring with TR

"u. "...Nine Inch Nails?"

The songs "At The Heart Of It All" "created by Aphex Twin"
and "The Beauty Of
Being Numb" "section B created by Aphex Twin" appear on the
Nine Inch Nails
US release _Further Down The Spiral_. Richard has also
expressed an interest
in touring with Nine Inch Nails"

Does anyone reckon that'd ever happen?

I really think that'd be great but honestly I don't think it
will because TR's change in direction of music....I mean,
it's not as raw as it used to be (if you know what I mean)

Netlon Sentinel--false !! can you show us the proof that afx
does not like nin ?

that would be the best show to have afx open up for nin !!

Netlon Sentinel- have you read the faqs ?

oh
*bemused*

why would he do a track for halo 10?

oh well
i just thought it'd be cool to have RDJ and TR on the same
stage
;)

>Netlon

heh

lol

i know halo 14 didn't have as much edge as the rest, but
it's a good album

i think TR's peak was with Broken
that's gotta be one of the darkest thing's i've heard apart
from Gwarek2
heh

alright so it's says there richard expressed an interest in
touring with nin. as oscillik says, he didn't do that. that
must mean something :)

i just reckon either

they were both too busy

or because of TR's change in direction, they wouldn't have
complimented each other

i still think if TR was still in the Broken era, it'd be a
formidable gig

i mean, the next NIN album's gonna be like 5 years away
what with him working with zach de la rocha, and tapeworm,
and doom 3 etc etc etc

damn, it's like NIN doesn't exist!!!

I love the comics. There's one where two of them get fused
together. Can't remember the names though which is really
bad as one of thems the leader of the Decepticons and the
other is the Ambulance one. Bugger my fucking awful memory.

he didn't tour w/ nin cos at the time rdj made that comment
nin were still recording their new album. as their opener
they had a perfect circle who attracted far more fans than
afx would have and to be honest they put on a better show.
afx doesn't even play live anymore, it's pretty
pathetic.

it was my understanding that at that time, APC were unheard
of?

*am i confused here or what?*

a perfect circle formed in 2000 and released an album in
2001, coinciding w/ nin's north american tour.

oops i meant they formed in 1999 and released an album in
2000 (specifically may), which coincided w/ the nin tour.
sorry.

that would be a little strange, seeing trent up there
smashing equipment, while rdj is in his little fisher price
house just, unseen and bears dancing around.
lol
doesn't anyone else see a little irony in that?

the ambulance was named Ratchet
as for NIN

his 'healing' album just sounded like whining... tho i
really enjoyed the instrumental trax alot
my favorites are 'further down the spiral', 'broken' and the
Quake soundtrak
shit
why not have afx do a Bowie remix while yer at it...

they didn't do "vacant" till after the nin tour was over,
but they might have did "diary of a lovesong" (ozzy and the
cure covers combined) cos they've been doing that all along.
what'd you think of manson's onstage performance? i'm not a
manson fan but i imagine that would've been really cool to
see. it's funny how well nin performed "the beautiful
people" considering they were learning it during soundcheck!
