I think the titles should either scratch-n-sniff or lickable
for the next version. Then no one can accuse him of artistic
stagnation.

I hope there will be a Selected Ambient Works 3, that would
be killer

it should have three discs. and a sequel to matchsticks,
like nannou 2.

sure there are. but SAW is a series, so it should stay that
way. i'm just dying for another real release. don't care if
its SAW 3 or I Don't Care Anymore, just something new.

How about "F1 F2 FU"?
F standing for fffffffreakcore. Kinda Venetian Snares-like
but with a 4/4 rhythm and catchy.

I'd have to agree here, he'd never release a SAWIII. It'd be
like taking a step backward for him

give some more support for saw 3 on the current poll please

it will affect on rdj, so he'll release one hehe

it would be very sad anyway if his future work would
resemble his old work- there's enough of that already

didn't rdj say he was going to release 'groundbreaking new
music' or something like that on the men label? i'm kinda
hoping for that

outtakes from SAW2 (and there are lots) are the only thing
SAW3 would be.. he doesn't do ambient anymore, he claims

doing a saw III would take away some of the briliance of the
other two albums

less is more

He should release a 50 CD box set for the next ambient
collection, full of all the tracks sitting in his computer
that were never released.

if you read the official afx faq, you would know that warp
actually circulated a notice to all of the staff,. (after
SAWII was released and then sold miserably) stating that no
more SAW series were to be published

I'll try and dig it out for you all,.

actually that was sire.....
and drukqs was basically SAW 3. not necessarily in musical
styles, but in its overall mixed reception and the rewards
that come from months of listening to it, it was like a
direct sequel to SAW 2.

except most of the music isn't ambient... ;)

i think the problem w/ SAW2 is most of its fans don't even
own the album. what's wrong with you guys?

afx as in the records he recorded under the name "afx" or
the general overblown Aphex Twin hype since it was announced
it would be released?
