Anyone here into or know anything about Brian Eno?
I have the Brian Eno "working backwards" 11 record boxed set. This gem includes "music for films 2" and a record of unfinished pieces, both of which are only available as part of the box, and I have never seen another copy of either seperate from the box in all my years of record collecting.
A book about rare record values I saw about three years ago valued the whole box at about 40 quid. This seems like very little, considering pressings of records like music for films or music for airports go in second hand record shops in London for 10 or 15 quid each. There are 11 records in the box, including two total rarities - how can it be worth only 40 quid? Anything know anything about this?

maybe they're different editions of the albums. original versions are usually the most valuable. the boxed set could have new pressings (maybe they were remastered or have different artwork).

He does indeed kick some ass - his production work for U2 is great as well (whether you like turgid stadium rock or not)
The soundtrack he did for the movie about the apollo moon landing is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever heard - just as well I own 3 copies of that record.
