I had the sheet music (proper, not melody and chords for
keyboard hehe) 100 beatles songs, and I loved playing I Want
You -- I once spent five hours in the dark playing the outro
:) I was in a trance - so amazing.

I actually like his production on that album. Except on
Across the Universe. I love the rest. Silly Paul and his
anti-Spectorism.

I Want You is so damn amazing, I did the same thing on
guitar once, just played and played and played until my hand
fell off. Paul plays some great bass under that riff.

"i want you" is very sabbath don't you agree? i haven't
heard sabbath's first album but i own their 2nd (paranoid).
does anyone know which came out first: abbey road or
paranoid? it'd be interesting to see who influenced who..

Paranoid is 1970, Black Sabbath the year before. Dunno about
Abbey Road but I'd guess before those two.

Yeah, Ozzy worships the Beatles, by far his favorite band,
or so I've read. Ozzy has good taste. :-) And I Want You is
before Sabbath, for sure.

I have this cool photoshopped pic of the Beatles performing
with Ozzy in between John and Paul singing, pretty weird.

The first Sabbath album was recorded REALLY late '69 in a
little studio session a couple hours long... much like the
Beatles first album about 7 years earlier. I'm sure Ozzy was
influenced by I Want You. That guitar has BITE.

Black Sabbath fucking rocks, best guitar tone ever! Iommi
has riffs up the wazoo.

The end riff to 'Black Sabbath' defines heavy metal
basically. Well, the whole song does but that riff is the
shit. Possibly only bettered by the one in 'Spaceship
Landing' by Kyuss.

Hmm.. I'm off to find this 'I Want You'....

Although Let It Be was released after Abbey Road, it was
recorded before it. So Abbey Road was the last album the
Beatles actually made :)

That awesome fade out riff at the end could pass for
Sabbath, it's their blueprint. But Paul's bass playing and
John's sexiness is the highlight of the track for me.
''Sappy ass Paul'' could play a mean bass... he steals the
show on ''Something'', for me.

I never liked the ending, where it just cuts off, to tell
the truth... hmm.
