a good album but on first listen a little disappointing, at
least in light of their brilliant debut ('604'). the songs
are still melody driven but the album, while actually
longer, doesn't have as many amazing riffs. there is musical
progression ("maturity" if you will) and i think the album
definitely has lasting power. a few songs already stick out
- evil, startup chime, turn it on - but a lot of it has run
together so far. i'll pick it up again in a week. next up is
the new low album.

i've given light&magic lots of time, and it is safe to say
that it is COMPLETE SHIT.

my sprockets rejects have failed me ;_;

they should have broken up after 604.. DAMN IT ALL!! :[

interesting you should make that connection.. my cousin
purchased 'light and magic' the day it came out because we
were fans of the first one, '604'.. and then like a week
later, totally by chance, I found some freezepop mp3s on our
school's network. He liked them so much he recently bought
their CD too. I know this may not seem weird but it's quite
a coincidence to me since I'd never heard of Freezepop until
about a week ago and now you ,mentioned them in conjuncion
w/ Ladytron.
