i havnt listened to them in like 2-3 years

they were the first electronic band/act id ever heard, and
what got me into electronica.

I kinda got out of them, due to the fact the 60 second wipe
out was just shit, and that i questioned their true
intentions (i think the whole fuck the world thing is just a
gimmick)

but its pretty nostalgic listening to this stuff

I love ATR! Hell yes! Their debut album was classic. Alec's
new album is way great! Destroyer is his best solo album
though IMO. I love it. Anything off Digital Hardcore is
good! I really like Hanin Elias's solo project, very noisey,
very experimental. I got the Dont Fuck With US double album
(filled with U.S. underground hardcore artists, who are not
signed anywhere..) if you can find it, get it, really
awesome stuff in there. Its a shame that Carl Crack died, he
was great. My favorite track by ATR is probubly, The Kids
Are United. Great band

Digital Hardcore just threw together that Dont Fuck With Us
double album with demos sent to the office in new york. Alec
came there once and was like whoa....... and threw it
together. I wish I could have seen ATR live.....

i bought 60 second wipeout a few years back without ever
hearing anything from them, and i was really disapointed by
it. never listened to atr since.

i thought the way they sound when they sing is kind of
amateurish.

offline Zeus from San Francisco (United States) on 2002-10-08 15:42 [#00396644]

the singing isnt great...

but i really did, and still do, think that there is great
production on the older albums... like Burn Berlin Burn, or
Delete Yourself.

60 second wipeout was like... more extrme noise... and punk
rock beats played on a 909 drums machine (aweful idea)
