Organ Grinder/Rujdq Julqghu from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-21 03:42 [#00023578]

well well well.....

i am a musician. My live music (under Organ Grinder, see me
on the LunaticWorks compilation Vol. 3 soon) is a mix of
ambient orchestrations and hard industrial / jungle riffs.
Occasionally, i have miscellaneous floating noises in the
background via a cd player and cdr's.

All my keyboards are played live. As well as drum machines
that i program. (Alesis -- others pre-programmed -- Roland,
Yamaha)

My Rujdq Julqghu stuff is very odd-noise jungle stuff --
usually very long or very short. All made on computer. Sort
of Squarepusher-ish but odd.

My live stuff, i guess, is comparable somewhat to Aphex,
Eno, and Cylob (Cylobian Sunset.)

how about you people?

I make whatever I feel like at the time. I don't have any
equipment, I just make it on my PC over time. I want to make
music like mogwai or GYBE!, though. I can't do that. I'm not
in a band.

Organ Grinder: when I get all my stuff together I want to do
a collaberation with you.. or many. I am already planning
out my song. Its ambient beat driven beats..... new, but not
so new... something a little off the wall, but ambient.....
and beat driven.. odd.. currently there is no page for my
tunes to download, as there are no tunes, only in shapes,
emotions and actions in my brain.

>:D

So do you have your equipment? We all have ideas, and not
being able to recreate them in real life to the standard of
what you thought can be frustrating.

|=|r3fl3x|=| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-08-21 04:32 [#00023595]

I know. Ive been making music forever. Just not this kind.
Iam getting the equipment soon enough, it takes time. I have
to order it all.

i stumble on good sounds usually because i dont know
anything about music. i've made some stuff comparable to
cylob, plone and plaid, aphex twin, and autechre.

I play guitar. Boring, I know. But it can make some very
strange/interesting noises when I use the right effects.

I've been making music for 9-10 years now!! I started out in
life as a guitarist/pianist, and have made tons of albums!
(all recorded on 8 track Tascam tape porta studio!!)However,
it has only been until recently that I have the gear/studio
I need to do it properly!

Unfortunately I don't have a website so no downlaods of my
proper studio Braindance stuff. Sorry.

Have fun.

I make electronic experimental music. If you wish to hear,
email me with a request and I will send you something for
your brain to dance to...

rF from a warm place on 2001-08-21 15:59 [#00023677]

I record under a few names (with my friend dirado, who plays
keyboard/writes tunes):

negative alpha index - braindance/ambient/jungle
fragilenine - industrial/metal
dead human battery - hardcore metal/industrial/hiphop
dynamic flux transient - acid/gabba/techno
e-scape - dance
total harmonic distortion - acid jazz/hiphop/funk
tba - classical/glitch
test signal - gloomy ambient, like the quake soundtrack
fach - noise (what i'm sending to rephlex)
rock laww vs. unkind nation - bad cheesy rock

I also play guitar/keyboards... er, I've been playing guitar
since I was 6 (I'm 17 now). You can hear my music
here.

radiowerkshop from canada on 2001-08-21 16:34 [#00023683]

my name is chris i do what i do and hopefully someone will
pick up on it someday and think i'm a genius
i've played in a number of groups that have gone absolutely
nowhere. and still play in a number of groups that are
going absolutely nowhere.
i am a multi intrumentalist playing everything i play keys
the drums, guitar bass, trombone, cello, sequencers, the
washing machine whatever.
my groups were and are
naieve, purr snickety, skip-tracer, bikini clad starlets,
coloured marshmellow brigade, funky d n smelly c, super
high-tech tit fighters, cmmb and radiowerkshop. wow that's
a lot of stuff but it was fun to reminiss.
hey if you find any tapes by any of these groups it would be
greatly apreciated if you could get me them cause all mine
were lost in a fire. so if you live in canada and can
remember any of them
thanks

"1024" is based on a grid of the digits in ascending powers
of two. Try it, its yummy.
