I need a tune for my new answering machine message at uni.
Last year I used the first track from Aphex's 'Melodies from
Mars'. Any ideas for this year?

Merzbow's "Eat beat eat #2" would probably do the trick.

Er, dunno who Merzbow is/are. I have lots of Aphex stuff,
and BoC and Autechre. I don't know the Squeller track,
though.

Drop core, dude. He is just noise, although his famous
statement goes: "I don't know what you mean when you say
'noise', if noise is music that makes you feel
uncomfortable, then to me pop music is noise".

he he he :)

You can use Avril 14th, and make it like what you hear when
you're on Call Waiting! You know, that classical
easy-listening type music? Really cheesy stuff. Not that
Avril 14th is cheesy, though! :)

heheh yeh thats wank...i knwo a dude whos answering machine
gets changed every week or month or so and it's always him
reciting some WEIRD bit ou8t of a violent film or
something...the last one i can remember was the classic
"when you put your hand into a pile of goop that was your
best friend's face" one..
except he said the whole thing (i forget the rest) and he
does it really nastilly.
and it doesnt say anything about leaving a message, he just
says that and then it goes "beep"

i don't like leaving messages on answering machines. i just
can't think of anything to say... or perhaps HOW to say it.
it ususally ends with me going 'ummm' and 'errr' every other
word... :)

if i get no answer i'd rather call later or try the cell
phone.
