Getting through these trying times

Friends, in these emotionally trying times, I'd like to
talk to you about something that concerns us all:

furry web comix.

Now sometimes it seems like half the people on the internet
are most comfortable when they're dressed in a fur suit
whacking ferociously over pictures of fox maidens or lizard
men. Thus it is no surprise that a huge amount of web comix
are furry or animal related.

How to sort the wheat from the chaff?

There are three furry web comics that are actually worth
reading:

Gene Catlow
Jack
Lizard

Of the three, only Lizard by Dave Kelly is even remotely
emotionally healthy. The other two, though amusing,
make you feel like scrubbing your brain with sand after
prolonged reading.

Albert Temple of Gene Catlow fame leaves you with the
distinct impression that he's only truly happy when dressed
as a fire hydrant waiting for some big strong dog with a
full bladder to come along and put out his fire.

And David Hopkins seems like he took entirely too much LSD
one day and went to Disneyland where he was accosted and
converted by Baptists. His furry fantasy? Lamb of God. Ewe!

So friends, as you go gently or not so gently into that
BBSless good night, fill the sucking chest wound in your
soul with Lizard, the only good furry web comic that doesn't
deserve the subtitle "neuroses on parade".
