Well, if this is your first time hearing these tracks... I
hope you're not expecting something amazing.

The best thing about Gantz Graf is the name. ''GANTZ
GRAF''... sounds so cool and cutting edge! Meow!

I wouldn't consider Gantz Graf a ground-breaking disc.

The video IS cool though. I hope you got the dvd/cd.

Im back..just finished listening to it. I agree with
Ophecks that's its not totally groundbreaking or
anything..its very much Bine with steriods...after TAKING
steriods...and then using more. Its that with a hint of
Lentic and some of Sim Gishel. I think GG pays homage to
LP5 too in that there are sounds so incredibly high it was
starting to hurt my ears...but then i played it loud too. I
think it wraps up Confield nicely. and if you put it that
way i think it works. its an ep mind you...their next
release should explain whats going on better.

I enjoyed it and am now going to watch the video!

I remember Ophecks saying how he didn't like to watch videos
first cause then that image stuck with him. whether that
only applies to BAD videos i dont know. I just agree with
him on that. i said to myself i'll lisen first THEN watch
the dvd. hehehehe...i can't wait.

be back soon with more thoughts!

Also, my GG packaging is purple text on a silver blue
background. I distinctly remember on warprecords.com that I
stumbled on a version that was black and white? what are
all your GG's covers? whats on it? I have big purple
letters that say "ae" on the right.

I don't like videos in general.

Windowlicker is an awesome video, but it's annoying... I
liked the song more before I saw the clip. Now I can't get
the video out of my head when I watch it, whereas before I
had some wacky ideas and images when I heard it.

But now those wacky images are overrided, nooooooo!!!!

I just watched all three videos.

Gantz Graf: Really impressed me how much there was a
symbiotic relationship between the computer graphics and the
song. I said 'ohhh' and 'oh man' more than a few times.
and then 'oh my goodness' at the end when it was done. i
think it was well executed and im definatly going to show my
mom lol.

Second Bad Vilbel: bah. This was pretty boring with the
robot. after the symbiosis of GG, this one came out really
week. music / video relationship just wasn't there ..
neither was the story. which wasn't there.

Bass Cadet: The most boring of the three, I wished this one
would have hurried up half way through. although i have to
say considering it was probably made in 93/94 along with
incunabula (somone can correct me on this) the graphics were
pretty good. i was amazed considering that. but other wise
there was absolutely no story and the whole thing made me
wonder why everything was just floating around. made no
sense to me.

Other than that, Id recommend this dvd package to ANYONE
just for GG alone!! and hey, the person would get GG disc
along with the dvd so ... great deal!

Overall, my month long wait has paid off and im very pleased
with the new autechre. i made love good to it!

;) WINK

Now Gantzy Graf dear, could you make me a sandwhich?

lol I was playing SAW2 the other day and I had the door open
and mid way through Stone In Focus (Oh my god I can't get
enough of it - it's a *cream-my-pants* like track to quote
MrKurtz) I go downstairs to get a glass of water and she
says "What on earth are you playing it's soooo
depressing"!!!! auuugghh

it's the one that's on the SAW2 version I don't have
grrrrrr. I have the warp uk (?) version so maybe it's on the
us one. If we are to believe aphextwin.nu it was removed
from the cd release cos it's too long
linkey
Download it it's sublime.

It's HF-tastic.

The video was a bit of a let down IMO. I though there were
videos to the whole EP too, as in all three tracks. Doh.
Confield a-go-go...

I think bine is the one with the steroids. Gantz gaf's 1st
song doesn't really appeal to me, but the video and the song
together KICKS ASS, one of the most awesome sound/visual
experiences I've been through. The last 2 songs are really
cool, but I've heard better by autechre in lp5, ep7 chichli.
