... for those attending, how is school treating everyone so
far? I had my first day today, two classes over, and one
tonight... and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with
my first class because, there is NO FINAL EXAM!!!! WOOHOO!!!
That's only four finals for me now... :)

I start on the 9th, so I'm enjoying a week of laziness... I
quit fulltime work too early, so it's like a TRUE summer
this week.

But I'm losing my mind and I can't wait to get back to
school and work my ass off to make up for last year's
horrible effort.

I started my classes about two weeks ago. The only one I
don't like is my Archaeology/Prehistory class just because
the professor is really boring. My writing class is very
fun and interesting, Hungarian is a very nice-sounding
language, and From Conspiracies To Reality is just starting
to kick into gear with the real meat of the course

Plus I am meeting lots of new people so I am quite happy.

My Latin literature class looks downright scary, the rest
should be fine. Do you like Beloit, Smyrma? If you meet a
scragly kid-philosopher named Bjorn there, keep your
distance.

I have Music 100 (since I was just told that I needed a
minor so I picked music), College Algebra (I tried my best
not to take any math classes throughout my college career
and I think I did a pretty good job considering I’m a
senior. Also, my major doesn’t require a lot of math just
one class). And the last class Media Arts – TV Genres.

Over all classes are pretty good with the exception of two
things: one, my math class professor is very hard to
understand. He has a heavy accent and doesn’t give good
examples. Two, I’ve missed the 1 week of class because I
have a cyst right behind my ear lobe so now I’m pretty far
behind.

there is a difference between university and college.

thick people go to college and intelligent people go to
university

I like the sound of Hungarian but that may just be because I
am not used to it; I guess you are.

Desdemona: I met that guy, he seems fine to me.

Actually, bill_hicks, a university has a graduate school and
a college doesn't.

hungary is our neighbour country, but if i hear them speak i
don't hace a clue what they're talking about-it seems like a
language that i could never learn
perhaps it sounds a little like finnish

Busiest time of the year for me...I work in a college so
after a lovely long quiet summer, the place is now full of
students...

it does get kinda tricky as it's frowned upon for staff to
be friendly with students...for instance, on the bus journey
home this evening, a 2nd yr was sitting with me & telling me
all about her summer...she was kinda suggesting we go for a
drink but I had to pretend I was busy...:(.....

bloody tough situation to be in......so if you're a student
you'll now know why the staff arn't as friendly as they
could be....

it sucks cause you end up being a bit two faced with
people....it's just so hard holding a conversation or just
being friendly whilst having a voice in the back of your
head saying "keep your distance"...
