it would help if you filled up these dialogues with more
text in stead of spreading your sentences.

and besides, i don't think anyone here will disagree with
you

I quite like "pop star" clothes, but I'm a chick =oz

I would never wear anything I don't like just to fit in
though, but pop star clothes are cool =oD

The guys always look like Jerks though

Well I recently got back from a holiday in the UK (the
scottish highlands) and it seems that everyone has shaved
heads or a least very close cuts.
It felt like I was amongst a bunch of extras from American
History X. I hate it, so aggressive. Anyway that seems to be
the fashion nowadays and I loathe it. It only looks good on
black dudes as they have nice skulls but most of these pale
english kids trying to look hard just look stupid. so ...
yeah.

I hate everyone, pretty much. I have no experience with
cliques except from what I've observed, I've always been the

solitary/loner weirdo. I dress in the same boring shirts and

jeans all the time and exhibit NO fashion trends or shallow

behavior, so naturally, everyone hates me.

its a good example of the dumbing down of america spreading
to other countrys
soon the world will be a bunch of zombies
following a trend

if you're not a very confident person, it sometimes helps to
fit in, especially in school. It does suk, but if it'll save
you alot of grief sometimes it's worth it

if you have a go at a certain style then you're just as bad
as the people who wear the clothes to "fit in". It shouldent
have to be like that, but up untill you leav school it
appears to be that way.

very true. if you don't adapt to a certain extent to the
other students at university for example, is going to a hard
couple of years, all on your own.

That annoys me also Tony, At least you don't have to live
amongst them. If you are even slightly different to the
local tracksuit wearing skinheads around here you are
constantly ridiculed.

yes
i know
but untill that age u have to put up with them

I think it's in our nature to copy the things that others
do. I think we're all in a "clique" one way or another. It's
just that when you're in a clique that dictates exactly what
you should do and you know it's not relevant to your
situation then something's wrong. I think that these bad
"cliques" are often created by companies that try to make
some money from the low self esteem of the youth.

I just spent a whole year of college on my own, by myself,
and I'm ready for three more years of that. Kind of sucks,
but at the same, I love being alone.

It gets annoying though, shyness is a disease that I
wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!

Cliques don't go away when you leave school. You just have
to find your own way to deal with them for the rest of your
life.

WRONG - I only live here on holidays (since 1998). In two
weeks I'm going back to sunny england to do a MSc in Virtual
Environments. And the ridicule of being different I know
(although not really as I don't mix with the
skinhead-tracksuit type - ew thats sounded snobby sorry)
plus I'm growing my hair - mullet phase auuggghhh !

Refer to them as "circles of friends" is the best way ;)

their hair goes through. As it's hell on earth !

SDragon - Oh good lord the tracksuits ! I'd forgotten about
the umbro wearing zombies auuggghhhh

Not too many mess with me, I may look odd to them but I'm
also quite tall and perfectly capable of removing their
heads. I dislike confrontation tho and normally only get
nasty when I'm in a mood or depressed. It's something I
would love to live without the worry of tho.

If they get confrontational the best thing is to walk away,
it's only because they have so little to lose that they go
looking for fights...
