ive just been trying to download one song - "giving up the
ghost" by DJ Shadow - for about a hour, and cant as they are
all bogus versions!! all over kazaa!! all over soulseek!!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

i really feel like killing the RIAA. they have really fucked
things up. all i wanna do is listen to a fucking song, its
my right.

fuck them all. anyone with me?

I think this is a legitimate weapon for them to use against
file sharing. I don't support the "hacking law" that they
are trying to pass through Congress, though.

But eventually we'll need to get used to searching for file
hashes and not names (if you've looked for movies you've
probably already come across these) since it is impossible
to forge a file hash.

bitzi.com is working on this type of problem. I think
solving problems like these makes p2p networks protocols
stronger in the end.

I primarily download stuff which is practically impossible
to get in a shop down here..without extensive ordering weeks
of waiting and with the long tradition of the shops claiming
that the copy you ordered disappeared when you know all too
well the shop staff either kept it for themselves or
freinds....I dont do business online either...

stuff like DJ Shadow is coming out of our ears doin
here..it's everywhere..easily accessible...

yes those import prices are a bitch..very are paying upto
NZ$50..US$25..for a piddly little 30 minute
long..WARP/Rephlex release if we want it fresh and new....
