having trouble with your isp? constantly getting disconnected? well, i am, and i'm sick of it
i'm cuurently using the AOL adaptor on a 56k in england, and although to be honest its almost impossible to figure out exactly why your computer crashes / disconnects / goes to 'blue death' , i suspect the AOl 'special' software has a lot to do with it.
currently paying 15 quid a month (which is ok, i don't mind that), i've heard bad things about freeserve (difficult to conect, rather slow) and bt-internet (nasty phone calls demanding you don't stay on line all day every day), and other things (being cut off every 2 hours).
what i really wanna do is weigh up the pros and cons and make a decision about whether its really worth staying with aol or moving to something more stable.
cheers.

dood....i'm not from the UK but i just wanna let you know what i've heard about the FREE internet service providers.
you think you have problems now with disconnections....be prepared for that every 1-2 hours. especially if you leave your computer on to d/l songs etc overnight it clicks off if you don't hit a button, etc.
i'd invest in cabel if it's in your area.
also i think some of the ISP's out there have an area where you can set it so it doesn't SHUT off.
good luck dobbin

Yeah, you get what you pay for w/ free services, trust me.
If you want more reliable service, ya gotta pony up some money.
MSN is relatively decent when it comes to dependiblity, I dont know if they have it in the UK though.
