Yes,yes,I know,yet another friggin` Autechre topic,and yet
another Grantz Graf topic, but I just bought it the other
day.
And I have to say I thought it was excellent, the music video
went with the sound perfectly, but the other 2 videos I was a
bit dissapointed with.Bass Cadet was a bit dull [I wouldnt
watch it again]and second bad vilbel wasnt even as good as
the original video[I was expecting something great here
considering its chris cunninghams second[bad]version of
it].
As for the single I thought Dial. was the best track, better
than I was expecting.Still,Grantz Graf is a weird ass song
to release as a single,I dont think its gonna get to number
1.But excellent none the less.

How can anyone be dissapointed, that shit is mad.

I don't think autechre release their music to make the
charts.

And you're right, autechre isn't music, it's an experience.

I can't say enough about this release, especially the title
track.

The first time I heard so-called industrial music it
disappointed the hell out of me. I wanted to hear the sounds
of giant insane devil robots sodomizing the Three Tenors in
a huge echoing Arena of Unparalleled Hatred and the whole
thing held together with Big Red Straps. What I got was some
art student whapping an oil drum with his nutsack.

Gantz Graf is what I expected from industrial music, and
it's a relief to hear it at last. It's also like Black Metal
without the sorry ass makeup and silly lyrics that make ya
cringe. It redefines blind seething rage.

Goes good with Darjeeling tea, too.

a good thing about gantz graf

is that you can pause at any point and get an amazing still
photo for a desktop or background, if you have capture on
your pc dvd player

I lost my taste for Earl Grey after drinking Twinings.
Bletch. Turpentine! Spoiled my taste for the beverage of
starship captains.

Assam in the morning, Darjeeling in the afternoon, Japanese
green tea anytime (Maeda-En is cheap and deee-licious).

Salada when I feel like slumming. :-)

Damn I can't wait for it to arrive !
Watch what you say about Earl Grey !!! 'Tis the king of
teas. Yeah green tea rox too although I'd like to get hold
of the real stuff rather than the green tea simulacrum that
I drink - Tchae.

I think you can safely call what ae do "music".

its marketed as "music" in most parts of the world.

Netlon,

This is an effect of the way computers display DVD video.
In order to cut down on usage of memory and the video card,
the video signal is routed directly through to the VGA
monitor output, so it bypasses the other stuff.

You do need software to capture dvd screenshots, but
unfortunetely, I can't think of any examples. Try doing a
search.

That's interesting. I always wondered why I got that
annoying square of DVD imagery screwing with windows. I just
thought it was WinDVD being shite.

Tonyfish, is there a Chinatown in Paris? Ya gotta find an
oriental store for the good green tea at a decent price.
Health food stores will be happy to sell you repackaged crap
for exorbitant prices. I get mine at a little Korean
grocery.

Tchae? You mean Chai? The stuff with nutmeg and cinnamon and
spices that tastes like liquid pumpkin pie? Very nice, but I
think it's made with a blend of black teas, assam and such.

Oolong is also nice. Tastes like a cup of autumn leaves,
which is more pleasant than you'd expect. Goes best with
Bauhaus, Cryptopsy, early Tiamat and the shades drawn.

If you want to capture screenshots, get PowerDVD.

Oh man Chai tea is so gooood! There is a Tibetan restaurant
that does excellent chai and lhassi on the rue St Jacques
near the Pantheon. If you are after Chinese goods go to
Tolbiac south of Place d'Italie in the 13eme (huge "Paris
Store" supermarket where they barely speak French!)
