whats up?

I've been sending demo's to future music (uk music mag) ,and
though I've had some good feedback in the mag (also rans
section) ,the fuckers still haven't placed a track on their
cd-rom :-(

I guess it's commercially not interesting enough ,this
glitchy-like electronic dribble,...do you guys know of any
music mag dedicated to "REAL" future music,.

Over here we only get that future music mag + computer music
mag (this one is expensive) and a cool Dutch mag named
Interface.

if you can describe what you're doing as glitchy then you're
not really making 'future' music.

I think he ment that the people on Future Music considered
the music to be "glitchy-like electronic dribble"

I know the stuff on Future MUsic and Computer Music..is
pretty shocking trance and big beat..I would take the put
down as a compliment..It it wasnt for the software they give
away and the Tutes..i wouldnt give it the time of day..(I
prefer computer music to Future music thought they are
essentially the same)

Yo flea, did you see the Comp Music with the new free CM VST

hey korben..hmm I am a bit spoilt..I have gotten complete
suites off Comp Music..with vst as bonus...so I am not
shelling out for VST as a primary feature:)

Naw .. i missed out - didn't have the puntha at the time -
and now their all gone! :*(

But you know how you can 'request' cd's from the library,
I'm sure comp/music would be requestable, especially
considering how fast they dissappear off the groovy shelves
.. mm.. *lost in thought*

"I think he ment that the people on Future Music considered

actually not Sido,..accept for the first mention (brilliant
name ,shame the music isn't as entertaining),.I've gotten 2
excellent mentions/reviews.

I ment the music they pick for their cd is always
poppy/housy commercial shit.

Yeah they are a bit comercial .
Computer music to.
All their tutorials n stuff is about how you make that hit.
Still i enjoy reading the mags for the software reviews and
some of the information is really usefull like how to
minimize audio latency etc..
But that damn cd is always missing something!!!
In the last vst instruments special it was suposed to
include a singing tibetian moonk vst!!! i really wanted to
know what it sounded like.
(but now as i type i realise i can go to the creators of
that mad vst and download it instead...doh!!)

FM got too expensive for my taste. I started reading from
issue 20 and about 50 issues later, I knew it all :)

"Bah!" -me, when the price of FM hit 100SEK

I've bought every copy of Future Music from Issue #1, and in
the first twelve issues they mentioned RDJ at least seven
times. Unfortunately, everything has changed there now, and
the 'team' are made up of evil youngsters and college
drop-outs from Bath (UK) into dance and similar shite. Ask
'em about the Aphex Twin now and they'll go, "yeah, we've
heard of them!" Pah!

I get all the computer music tutorials off the net. They're
pretty good though...

i've read some future music and it's pretty much crap. the
articles are pretty worthless and they seem to praise every
piece of gear they review.
and the demo winners are just utter shit - horrible sounds,
awful vocals, commercial pop dance trance easy d'n'b
chillout.
and the magazine is damn expensive though half of it is
advertisment.

sorry if i offended somebody. i just don't like it.

Yeah the reviews are pretty suck-up. I remember when the
Nord Lead from tiny Sweden appeared, they just couldn't get
over the fact that it wasn't from Japan, (Nord Lead being
the first hardware VA-synth). The Roland JP-8000 immediately
won their hearts as it was from Japan.
