New 160bpm drillnbass-lite track!

Hey guys,

I was reading that other post a little earlier about some
danceable IDM and started to throw this little track
together. It's a cute little lofi IDM/drillnB track which
is hopefully a little danceable.

Please have a listen, ensuring you listen at above-moderate
listening levels, simultaneously dancing like a mad b*stard,
please.

'Me & My Variflex' (2:16, 160bpm):

Hifi Stream (160kbps)
Download (2.74MB)
Lofi Stream (32kbps)

Hope you like it!

Chris.

not too bad

fun, but in more of a "hop around the room like an idiot and
hope nobody is watching" way... needs some funk to shake
your booty or a pounding fascist beat to lure the
unsuspecting dancers

I agree with mutant death pengwin.

I thought it would really kick at the beginning with notes
placed in odd places of small time units, but the melody
started repeating in a loop instead of continuing randomish
variation. This was slightly disapointing, but it made up
for this very much by going lots of weird directions in
theme, going astray then back on course, that was awesome...
and short too, I like stuff that gets to the point.

Cheers guys!

Flea - That's what I like to see!

'hop around the room like an idiot and
hope nobody is watching...' Absolutely. I'd expect nothing
less.

I thought I'd sustain the repetitve motif at the start
before things went a little sillier.

Ha! Yeah, I like it too. Fun little track. Makes for some
good hopping. Whoever said hoppin around like an idiot was
bad? Who gives a shit if anyone is watching?

I really dig this, in all honesty it reminds me of some
aphex tracks, just a little happier is all. nice work man.

This is exactly what I've been waiting to hear from Mr.
Ochre! Another "Ourcade-ish" sounding tune. Love it to
(random) pieces :-D

Have you got anymore songs like "Ourcade" kickin' around?
I've got most of your stuff already, but didn't notice
anymore videogame sounding stuff.

It also kind of sounds like my mom's cell phone :-O ahaha
Very good.

Not at the moment, nope. I hope to write some more in that
style, maybe a little EP's worth.

not bad if you're the average electronic musician..

but you're ochre, and you've got tracks that could blow this
shit outta the water.

chris, you're one of my favorite indie electronic artists,
but this song just wasn't as good as alot of your stuff.

don't get me wrong though, it's still not bad
just you could do way better

Glad you think so, Aron, cheers! I'll probably develop this
track a lot more if I earmark it for release - I just
bundled it together in a couple of hours for a laugh.
Surprised how quickly it fell together, to be honest.
