The original Absynth IS banned world wide, the original strain of it anyway. Van Goch chopped his ear off while off his nut on the stuff, there's an Absynth bar by where i live, still to check it out. they were giving away free absinthe at the tate modern on sat . had loads - it was the picasso and matisse exhibition and the galery was open all night and packed out. i've got a bottle in my room from spain - i like it but only with water and sugar - how you are meant to drink it |

i've had it a cupla times - strong little drink. i've had a shot of some stuff that was meant to have quite a bit of thujone - the label was DIDO or something along those lines? Didn't do much, apart from warm my upper body for the next minute or so. I thought the effects of thujone only occur after prolonged/regular use? |

well wormwood is the bit that gets you tripping - me and my girlfriend bought some camping the other week and we got a bit spun out in the tent - it works just like mushrooms it sends dodgy neural messages to yr brain cos your internal organs don't deal well with it |

Me and 2 friends shared a bottle of absinthe....that was a bad experience. I was more than drunk, it had something else than just the normal-pissed feeling, something much harder, like if it really was a poison..(wich it is). Me and one of the guys were spent hours kicking garbage cans in a park, screaming that we wanted to be sober. the other friend was completely knocked out, just drooling and stuff.... now that's what i call a party;) |

I'm sinking into some sort of stupour just rembering. Yea I was laid up semi unconscious in bed for three days! And that's only the half of it :- What's being said about different strenghths I never knew... And may I just add, just incase you do happen to get hold of a bottle. It is impossible to stop untill it's too late. If you're that curious go to one of these fair things where I believe glasses are on offer. |

HOLY SMOKES i tried it ONCE and only ONCE in a bar in Prague....oye that place is NUTS.....=0) it tasted like shite so i didn't drink much of it. the weird GREENISH colour through me waaaaaaay off. i wanted to try it cos i knew how much of an addict my fav artist Vincent Van Gogh was and i was curious. plus it's banned all ova so i thought if i don't try it now i never will. i heard from a pal in vancouver that they sell it there now.....so i guess the BAN is ova! |
