I saw them here on the 'daisies'-tour. missed the
'souljacker'-concert. shit.

what are your favourite songs?

I like the cool way they can move on land, like big grey
snakes with gills.

There are also electric ones that can power an electric golf
buggy.

I really love "efil's god" - that funky bass combined with
E's high-pitched voice..

the version on the new live cd (electro-shock blues show) is
pretty amazing too - the 'backwards strings'-part is done
with guitar.

"elizabeth" is also beautiful. really like "the medication
is wearing off".

how about "thats not really funny", "dog faced boy" and
especially "bus stop boxer" on souljacker?

i don't own souljacker. i do have some of the mp3's and i
remember liking the last 2 you mentioned, i don't think i
heard the 1st.

is there a version of "elizabeth" on the new live disc? i
love the live version! i wish there was a stereo quality
live version of get ur freak on :/

"Not ready yet" is one of the most honest straightforward
songs ever written . I admire that loads.

I also love 'Beautiful freak" . Chris Morris used it on Blue
Jam. Excellent band :)

i have beutiful freak, electro shock blues and souljacker.
i used to have daisies of galaxy but I thought it sucked and
sold it. it was definately the least good eels release. i
like electro shock blues most. souljacker is good but some
songs arent all that good on it.

they were pretty rad, although i don't listen to them much
either.
anyone notice that radiohead does!?
the pyramid song EP>The amazing sounds of orgy.
total eels tune!

electro-shock blues is the best album

I love how the themes are completely dark, but on the whole
it doesn't get depressing at all.

"elizabeth" isn't on the live cd.
"cancer for the cure", "going to your funeral 1", "efils
god", "last stop: this town", "electroshock blues", "the
medication is wearing off", "climbing the moon" ar all on
there though..
also a 12 minute version of "not ready yet".

when down.

their new live is amazing.. most of the songs are either
given completel new arrangements or extended jams (check out
the 12 minute "not ready yet").. $10 plus $2.50 shipping on
cdbaby.com (look up the album by putting eels as the artist
name)

I think electric eels are interesting. Here's a good idea:
kill all the earth's creatures except ones that can generate
electricity like electric eels. This way they will evolve
rapidly and fill all the niches and EVERYONE would be able
to on earth.

lemme just tell you: there's a WHOLE lot more to the eels
than that song. like radiohead and nin, they hate their
breakthrough hit and have so many better songs.

I like what I have heard of this Soul Jacker album
thingy..stuff before it was too.. I want to be Beck but I am
too brainy so I will rip him off and mock him
simultaneously..
