I didn't bother to read this thread, but I can tell you that
there's a lot of wannabe hackers hanging out here.

Put my webserver adress in my userinfo when I joined, and
this is the -only- place I have published it.. (it's just
apache running on my desktop, and there's nothing exciting
there). Since then I've seen hundreds of lame break-in
attempts (mostly aimed at IIS, so I don't really care) from
a myriad of different ip's. It would be fun to
crossreference my logs with aphextwin.nu's to smoke out the
perps..

guess you're not even worthy of the title 'script-kiddie'
when trying IIS scripts on an apache server

The Code Red virus, for example, "walks" the network, so
just because you've never published your IP address doesn't
mean you're safe.

Invariably when I put a new machine on the Internet it's
usually probed within 24 hours, the fastest I've seen was a
Code Red tickle just 20 minutes after the machine was live.

"Hey kaimo - have you approached/been approached/signed by
any record labels?"

sorry Korben, i didn't notice your question until now.

but yes, i've send maybe 6 demos to some labels and haven't
had any response... i wrote a very retarded letter to go
with them so maybe they didn't even bother listening to the
cds haha...
so i'm still on this "label" i got with two friends of mine
and i'll be releasing an "ambient" ep soon, and a new "fat
kaimo" album sometime in the future... actually i was
thinking of releasing a series of ambient eps, don't know if
anybody wants them but i don't care...

and thank you for asking... see you.
