new cylob album (in awhile)

hevquip from an egren's coffee shop on 2001-07-31 16:20 [#00018876]

i emailed cylob the other day and he emailed me back and
said he was putting the finishing touches on a single and an
album, but it might be next year when he gets it all done.
i'm looking forward to what he's going to put out.

cylob is great...but i honestly think he needs to upgrade
his shit...it sounds like it was made on one ov those yamaha
20 bux keyboards for 2 year olds....rewind is excellent
though.

Really? Are you talking about lobster tracks? I think it
sounds more interesting and complicated that you said. I
think it's a pretty simple structure, a little bit. But the
complicated part is the sound samples used. I think it's
very interesting. It sounds like rolly eyed monsters. And
his little commercial songs are funny.

he probably meant some of cylobs other stuff like from doif
97 or cylobian sunset. those have some pretty dated sounds,
good thing that he knows how to make good tunes with them
though

Hmm I guess Cylob does sound a little outdated, hes pretty
cool I guess. I got some of his albums/singles. On another
note I think its better to not stick to one kind of music.

new cylob? about fucking time!!

by the way, i doubt cylob could care less whether his stuff
is outdated or not... the point of being a good, no GREAT,
musician is to work with what you have and make the most of
it ... cylob definitely does it.

by the way, i agree with the fact that Lobster Tracks is
fucking brilliant. I dig "Mod You Later" and "Stomping FM."

I like that he sounds outdated...and i thought he did that
on purpose...

i think that cylob will put out the record that we are all
waiting for. knock on wood
even if rich makes us laugh and cry at the same time chris
jeffs will not disappoint.

Arch Rival from NY on 2001-08-01 13:08 [#00019118]

Ofcourse he did that on purpose, what a fuck you
think!?!?!?

Thats as stupid as saying = uuuuhuhuu that new song sound
like the 80s...

I have all the Cylob releases, and all are very good
IMHO....

EXCEPT!.....

Industrial Folk Songs. Chris, I know you made them ultra
painful on purpose, but no matter how you look at it, it's
just not funny!
