What's to say the "reality" isn't another Matrix - infinite regress .. i struggle to see how "knowing" whether something is real can be good in and of itself? ok so if you were to start hearing voices - ACTUALLY hearing voices .. would they come from REAL people? ofcourse its a lot more intuitive, easier on the head etc. to think this is all real (and perhaps we better be talking about truth than reality here). but as soon as you dig a little, you just find how rotten the core of this apple we call reality really is .. |

you say what we hear and what we see isn't real, but at the same time you say (earlier) that what we hear and see IS reality! doesn't this seem a tad contradictory to you. delusions are interesting .. we're all delusional in a sense, for arguments sake - tho i don't want to turn this into a religous debate - one could argue that the belief in god is rather delusional? infact Nietzsche, as i'm sure some will be aware claimed christianity to be the worst mental illness to strike the human race. now i don't want to ruffle any feathers, but when you see a car outside, how do you know its not a delusion? and how can the delusion be real, yet the voices you hear not? |

no, I said that what is actually here, the world, which is what normal healthy people see is real... why think about why is it real, or how do we see it, or do we see it as it is, because the world as the majority of the human population sees it, must be real, so why question it? Delusions aren't real because you're seeing things that aren't really there, but are in your mind... the fact that you're having delusions is real, but what you see is not there in the real world... |
