thats badass, at least ur gettin astrobotnia ;) I got like a 3.6, and thats only cuz my goddamned medical teacher (its an elective) fuct up my grade, stupid bulldyke. but anyway, my parents usually give me some money for good grades but we are too tight on cash right now.. =/ |

no... im kidding my parents werent mean they just got this look of disaproval that made me feel like shit... i got good grades for the most part... it was more of just not wanting to look dumb. but yeah... i still hate when parents bribe thier kids. |

I dont consider it bribery, cuz half the time I dont even see the money they would be paying me. Its an incentive to get good grades bcuz those are always useful in the future. Classic parent logic. Really I'd rather just have good grades because school is so easy for me anyway, I don't even have to apply myself and I make good grades, and I go to a magnet school (not like that means anything, but its supposedly harder, which I dont think it even is.) And I can't stand the mindless idiots that make up most of the rest of my class, and would prefer to set myself apart from them in any way possible. Bottomline: I don't really think a little letter on a piece of paper means all that much anyway. |

heh, I used to hate report card day in high school... I used to get all 70's and 80's, but that wasn't good enough for my parents... they were viscious... |

hey, whatever works to get the good grades I guess... but I did learn in psychology that this so called bribing to get good grades and stuff just means that the kid will grow up expecting bribes (hmmm I don't like that word here, so rewards) or rewards everytime... it's best to promote the intrinsic value of good grades and stuff, meaning the good feeling you get when you get good grades... then they have an inner reason and desire to do well... |
