Yeah and the Ankhs that acted like coins in a Mario game. I
loved that game. It's a shame the full disk version didn't
include the levels from the demo (they were best) I like the
gas mask too, nice touch. The deathmatch was great as were
the guards who pretended to be dead then got up of the
floor.

Did you know originally it was going to be a wolfenstein
game, but they changed it last minute so they could sell it
in Germany?

I remember shrooms mode being copied in that other great
apogee game, death rally.

Ah, fond memories of sneaking out of school at lunchtimes to
play it deathmatch over a serial cable at my friend's house
:)

the remote ridicule system was great....

but it wasnt a wolfenstein game, it was made by different
people surely?

3D Realms?!

Rise of the Triad won the 1995 Shareware Industry Award in
the category of Best Action/Arcade Game, beating out other
titles such as Descent and Heretic

I think it was apogee and thats why it was going to be a
wolfenstein one (remeber, back then ID was just a dev.
house, not a publisher...)

I remember that old tile based editor- ROTTed.

There were loads of date based easter eggs too- play it on
halloween or christmas to see what I mean :)

I played it for a while, together with duke nukem and blood
and shadow warrior. It was a fun game, I loved those double
hand guns, but it wasn't very special or anything imo...

Blood was great. It kept falling out of sync over a serial
cable though. I can't find it on any zeraw (<-backwards)
sites :(

I loved the references to so many horror films in blood. V.
funny yet still keeping a scary atmosphere.
