yes, only a few people need know it was a hoax.

People who would benefit personally from maintaining the
myth. The control centre staff need not have known... watch
"Capricorn One " a great conspiracy drama film about landing
on Mars. Then see what you think. I'm not saying it WAS a
fake , just that the motives are all in place.

Doesn't Everybody just love a good conspiracy. I love the
way they show the Doco's as well. The one i watched about
the moon was very convincing but it presented a biased
opinion they had only one guy from NASA saying it did happen
and he looked like a janitor. But i love em' they really
make u think....which is the point i think

Dick_007, did you see The Panel after the documentary? They
were discussing the program. Rob thought it was all crap!
Even though he said he loves a good conspiracy :)

And he posed a question which I pose to everyone here, has
there ever been a conspiracy that has been proven to be 100%
correct?

Kate (woman on 'The Panel' for non-Australian's) sugguested
JFK's assanation...

Do they? Do they really make people think? Or do they just
shovel a bunch of shit down your throat that many people
readily swallow? I can't believe some of the posts in this
thread.

For those that saw any show about the moon landing being a
hoax and believed it, how many then attempted any type of
research to see if the arguments held water? I did a simple
Yahoo search last night about this and found a website
debunking, step by step, the conspiracy program shown on
FOX. For every question raised by the program, a very good
explanation was given. So when you genuinely look at both
sides of the debate I in no way see how you can still
believe that it's a hoax. The explanations given by the
website are at the very least as
good as the questions posed by the conspiracy theorists. If
you still believe, then it's because you want to.

Here is the link: click me

And also, to the person who mentioned Japan sending a
spacecraft to take pictures of the moon which should answer
the debate once and for all: The moon may be smaller than
the Earth, but it's still a big rock. Did they specifically
say they're taking pictures of the Apollo landing sites? If
not, then it probably won't happen by chance.

Yes, of course there were. Just a second and I'll see if I
can get an exact number...

Well, couldn't find the number, but I think the Apollo
missions went up to at least 15, with the only unsuccessful
one being 13, so there should have been at least three more
after 11.

Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 are reportedly landed on
the moon.

Is that a totally baseless joke or are you saying we sent
monkies to the moon?

Okay you fucking dumbasses who don't believe we landed on
the moon. Get out some good binoculars and stare really
closely to the moon. See that object up there? That's a US
flag. Now take your stupid conspiracy theories and shove it
up your ass.

offline BlatantEcho from All over (United States) on 2002-07-12 04:14 [#00306738]

actually, I have been told you can't see the flag on the
moon with any telescope from earth, let alone binoculars.

Reason was the atmosphere bends light to an extent that you
can't focus on something that close, if that makes sense.
And cuz the f***in flag is so small too I guess.

Anyway, Dozier came up with a good link, or how bout the
simple clip"The program never raised the issue of more than
800 pounds (363 kg) of lunar rocks that astronauts brought
back to Earth.

"Geologists worldwide have been examining these samples for
30 years, and the conclusion is inescapable. The rocks could
not have been collected or manufactured on Earth."

simple Google searches kids, makes all the time spent
arguing about this nonsense look like quite a waste.

Blantant: Thank you for finding the details about the lunar
samples, I had a hard time finding them for some reason.
