Some thoughts on SAW V. II

Selected Ambient Works, Volume II

I've had this album for well over six months and just today
did I actually sit down and listen to it...why it took so
long, I don't know, it's not really an album where you go
skippin through to your favorite tracks.

But I sat there for a couple hours and basically meditated.
Good stuff, almost therapudic in a way. I noticed a lot of
the background hiss and noise that gives the CD a warmth, an
analog brilliance not usually found in digital sound.

All in all, I've been a fan of Aphex Twin because of "I
Care..." and "RDJ" album, Come To Daddy EP (?) Windowlicker,
Ventolin, etc. But this album just seemed to solidify the
fact that this man is a genius.

I can't put it any other way. I don't even like Ambient
music much, but I loved this double album!

Its one of my most listened to albums of all time, its
great. Was wondering what some of your favorite tracks from
it are? some of mine are from cd 1 track 1,3, and 6, from cd
2 track 1 and 8.

Im still looking to find the full album with the 2 extra
tracks on it. phobiazero, do you or anyone else know how or
if it is still possible to get this?

You need the triple LP UK (3xLP) release to get the two
additional tracks (a total of 25 tracks) from Warp Records.

The 2xCD UK (WARP) release is missing only one track (#19) -
a total of 24 tracks.

ps
#19 is featured on Excursions in Ambience § The Third Dimension § - you could get the track
from there...this is, btw, the only way to get it in digital
format...
