He does seem to be a pretentious cunt. Scorsese sorted him out tho, I loved this bit from : "Leonardo DiCaprio was ordered by Gangs of New York director Martin Scorsese to apologize to the cast and crew after reporting late to the set. DiCaprio was out partying it up on the streets of Rome (where the movie is currently filming now) with his supermodel girlfriend Gisele. Apparently Leo didn't get back to his pad until the wee hours of the morning because he then showed up late to work the next day. Scorsese berated the young actor for ten minutes, then ordered DiCaprio to apologize to all of the film's workers for slowing the picture down." |

i think the disproportionate-one will ruin the film: i think the studio would only green-light such a high budget film (really big budget for a drama) with a bankable star like di crappy-o. the violence will be good but it looks like the film will be a messy affair, cos scorcese was told to cut it down from 4 hours to 3 and they have to edit really carefully to hide leos crash weight gain/ loss (he had to halve his weight at one point cos the fucker stuffed his face all the time. bringing out the dead was okish but to really shine scorcese needs de niro |
