Racial slurs are a definite no-no when i'm talking w/ my friends. We say the word "ass" an awful lot though.
plugexpert: "cancer-patient"? Thats horrible! :P ;)

lol I don't know how to spell "Strewth" cause I've never used it in my life!!
In Australia you can't show people drinking alchol before a certain time, Neighbours falls in the timeslot where they can't show it!! Though a lot of people do drink Orange Juice here =D
Marlowe, perhaps the cause of your workmates smelly farts is the crappy warm British beer! =D

I agree, we've had soccersupporters yelling: "Hamas, hamas, jews on the gas" goes too far IMHO I'm glad they were punished for it...

Kids yelling "fuck you dad", that's interesting. I guess telling your dad he 'sucked' in the 50's would have been an awful thing to say, now its no big deal, so you might be on to something, I never really thought of that.

Its a possability man, really it is. But I dont care, its only a swear word to me if its offensive, but lots of people still find those words offensive, your only notiving some things, in 1 culture, in many cultures if you were to swear at your parents youd be beaten, still to this day.
I swear all the time, constantly, its not offensive to anyone unless used in the proper context, like its not offensive to be like "fuckin eh buddy come here" or offensive like this "hey you fuck come here". I dunno though, I think your prediction is wrong.

i feel it's all a matter of audience...they're just words...and the ones that aren't directed to ppl shouldn't be so bad...ie...if i just put in 54 cymru beats...i'd be likly to excalim: "FUCK! those are some phatty cymru beats!" or if i throw down /w a shitty piano track...i'd be like :"Damn this songs sucks..."
i can understand when ppl use these words to hurt other's like calling ppl names...but that's pretty childish even if you use "grown-up" words like cuss words...
