Twice this afternoon there has been a really good downpour, both time I've tried to sample it. The first time I didn't get my mic in in time (it didn't work in the end anyway...) The second time I tried using another mike and didn't mange to get it in time. Grrr! |

Thats too bad man. If you have an umbrella you could always put the mic under that and sample the raindrops hitting the umbrella? |

Nope, it's just one mic doesn't work (I just go it back from a friend and hadn't tested it since). I'm borrowing a MD and my GF's mic tommorow so I'll hopefully manage to sample some soon :) |

My best friend had such a hard time trying to get a decent rain sample. He doesn't have very good euipment though - a cardioid mike w/ a 4 track. It's a hard sound to record for some reason. |
