"It has also led to calls for tighter rules on violent
computer games"

I love how they just throw that line in there.....The media
needs something to blame for this tragedy....can't they
understand that some humans are fucked up??????

well they are always looking for an excuse to try and slip
in some of their fascist censorship laws (not just germany
-- any western govt)

Can't people see that psychopaths play violent videogames,
but no everyone who plays videogames is a psychopath?

Suppose an opera fan stabbed someone after seeing Julius
Ceaser, would the government ban opera? No- because it has
nothing to do with opera, simply that a fan of that artform
used it as an inspiration for a killing that he would have
done anyway.

yep that argument has been played and replayed -- but if
they don't wanna hear it, then they'll just ignore it or
attempt to belittle it or the people propositioning it

I hate opera, I think if a stabbing ever occurs, Julis
Ceaser should be cited as an influence and all opera should
be banned. That'd be well good.

there is probably a high correlation that psychopaths play
violent video games... but violent videogames obviously
doesn't cause someone to be a psychopath... people who are
violent, would obviously enjoy a violent video game... I
think most people loose sight of that... there is a big
difference between correlation, and causation...

i kno. i've played many violent games and i'm a goody two
shoes. blaming violence on media & games, come to think of
it, is just about one of the dumbest things i've heard.

they need to consider lifestyle factors, backround,
psychology, etc.........imo

It's like that band that were sued for having "do it"
backwards in one of their songs being blamed for the suicude
of a teenager. They should have considered the fact that
anyone who listens to the same track 100+ times a week is a
bit unhinged.

Anyone who likes slipknot is obviously mentally ill.
