this is good. respek to gabber goose. reminds me of a very lofi cut chemist doing musique concrete at points i'd said something like, "direct into it doesn't sound great for recording a track, i'll try the mic" and then that was actually me recording one of the goose brand tracks in parallel to the computer. then playing it back and mumbling to myself then the mix is like 60% there and i'm like: i cannot have this whole track in there like this. it does not fit. and now that i've a rip of it i don't care about recording over it, but now what? and lewis said something akin to "like a commercial that never ends" and he didn't quite mean it in this way but i was all: thank you, thank you, that is perfect bbiab |

oh and i recognize that knuck bootleg near the end ;) the latter half of the mix is dominated by a large field recording of the rain again. that i recorded over another take of another goose brand track. then after the rain i recorded the dishwasher for a while because it had similar sounds. then i have the "cool" outro already and i'm recording over most of the dishwasher sound, and i actually wanted it to just continue in an ambient way for a minute or so, but i used up the time on the tape. and so i actually wanted that bit to carry on for longer but i was simply out of space in that nook. i actually thought about replacing funkstorung with it. and i cannot describe how dense this got. references to references that reference something i don't reference. also represented is my FLAC on vinyl pipe dream etc mixed with stuff that was in the news that day, voyager II glitching out |

waking up and realizing i need to sample the color of money and it should go in precisely this spot of the tape as my first conscious thought. i would get this dense into constructing an amusement park ride back using VST plugins and now i'm back there in a much more immediate and satisfying way with tape |
