if you compare aphex to twent weznor, his music is quite guarded. plenty of tracks that are moody AF but he's not singing his diary entries on top. that it must be kind of surreal to have millions of people in your head with you somewhat, and not really being able to see back beyond how they've adopted your own mental style. that i half wonder if he's ever had a situation, like, "i'm famished, and for some particular reason i really fancy an orange right now" and then a fan shows up and says "hey you're aphex twin! i'd give you more but all i have is an orange right now" and it's like some bizarre scripted fallout 3 incident. |
