Who is God? Well, it's an invisible person, and he lives up
in heaven, up there

God is somebody who rules the world. He's sort of like a
spirit, I guess up in outer space

He kind of started all the plants growing, and he started
people. Well I guess he's kind of big and fat

He can see us whatever we do, whatever we do, he has such
powerful eyes, he has to have millions and thousands and
billions, and he can still see us when we're bad

He could be sitting on the table right now, but you can't
see him

If he was a bad man, he would make everything bad, and we
wouldn't have electricity, he wouldn't make people, that's
what would happen if God wasn't nice

He's not though, what - a lot of people think he's just a
feeling - but I think he's a real person...

Well, I think that God, um, isn't a person, but he's up in
the heavens, and he's watching over us right now

oh you mean jesus daddy?

i hope hes not real i wouldnt like to have to deal with such
an orwellian dystopia scenario

he is real as a way of controlling people though, as he was
been the force behind lots of murder suffering enslaving and
such.

I like to think the real god or (better) gods made this
world and whatever and then they wanted to experiment
existing in its rules and that's what sentient things are.
pockets of experience for the gods. I dont think these
experiences are being judged morally or anything its just
stuff that happens, morals are contingent to this meaty
existence.

i find the monotheistic gods very problematic. but there
ought to be something greater than us, just because we are a
bunch of ignorant animals

it's very hard to talk about this in english. anyways its
metaphysics so to each hes own, but its always fun to dabble
in these kind of topics

Rivetingly fresh and stunning . . . Isaiah actually saw
God’s genitals filling the temple. This sounds just too
comical to be plausible - and yet fertility and bull-like
potency are essential to ancient deities, and Stavrakopoulou
argues that Jahweh is no different. Much more like the Cerne
Abbas giant than today’s CofE would really want. --
Christopher Hart ― Sunday Times

You have to respect a deity with a bull-like, temple-filling
stugots.

oh for heck's sake

we learn to speak by imitating our parents voices, then in
comes sesame street, the president's voice, etc. and we are
all made up of these voices, and they only thing that really
distinguishes us as individuals is which ones we listen to,
and rebroadcast. but i mean, like: i've had a voice yell out
of, oh, the back right of my mind, and realize: that was my
dad's voice. or my mom's voice. sort of like my brain pulled
a tape off the shelf and fed me some prior voice
programming.

but then your parents are made up their parents voices, and
so on, for thousands of generations, and you start to see
that our individual selves are all perhaps just little bits
of epidermal layer on top of a 99% shared framework, that
goes deeper than language -- the sun and the moon
synchronizes all life, and possibly created it via coriolis
in isolated pockets of ideal RNA precursor fed by gentle
alpha decay for a billion years. it likely happened numerous
times, until one finally ruptured into the ocean, and that
was it. from there it's not competition for resources that
drove evolution, but competition between species. but
arguably, maximum power principle, all life on earth is
nested terrariums that gradually heat pump entropy out into
space to increase the order within...

but, i guess, meanwhile, i think some people call that 99%
shared morass god

prayer could theoretically work without breaking the laws of
physics despite, but that's another ramble

I had an acid trip where I kept getting a visage of a 6
armed indian goddess with 3 eyes.

And another where hands formed out of the ether, lifting me
up and up until I entered white space with a bit of
architecture, decidedly greek. In that place I met something
indefinable that was very concerned with my happiness and
well being.

I'm willing to admit these could have been products of free
association and imagination, though.

see, i never got this sort of thing. the first time i
tripped, i opted for mushrooms, and i had two friends with
previous experience around tripping with me; they were
stoked i finally bit the bullet. one guy was seeing, like,
kind of god-beings or whatever walking around; i just saw
the ceiling breathing. i went to awkwardly negotiate taking
a dump, like, lot of signals flying about here; i have to
focus. then there's a little smurf i see in the dots in the
bathroom tile; pareidola.... but with a vengeance. i saw
that smurf every time, after that. i could, like,
concentrate, and see it as just... dots on the tile... but
naturally, no, he was just there afterwards. so i had that.
but i didn't see beings walking down the hallways. that,
it's my first time tripping, and i'm still thinking: is he
pulling my leg? he wasn't. i just have a very thick skull,
it seems

so my trips are more like, on acid, i think of something
cool, and, shit... rush of thoughts; i lose it. that i will
sit here until i get this back; i resolve to. and i
already have to pee. alright, how do we do this?
well, one thought leads to the next, it's like a linked
list, and if i think the same thing, i'll think the same
next thoughts, and i can get that thought back, cool! then,
so... okay, i need, what are the two thoughts closest to it
i remember, before and after? so i can, like, establish a
trajectory? ...having to pee for like 20m is a long time on
acid but i got the thought back and i've kept up with the
technique and now it's this horrible monster where i can
give you a stack trace of why i came up with a Cool Band
Name and it's just a long stream of esoteric trash

never seen no indian goddess, tho.

i guess i'd say it's because... well, tripping is close as i
get to mystical, but i still always went at it with an
engineering mindset. so it comes out more like the above and
less in abstract symbolism, i suspect

also, for anyone giving me shit about my archival hoarding,
well, i have a photo of that smurf in the tiles somewhere; i
should dredge it up. that's the hardest part; indexing.
otherwise what good is it? but i should, because everyone
else can just make hand motions and convey this thing that
happened to them their first time on mushrooms, but no, i
went and faithfully took a photo, because, like... this is
notable; i need this on file

I dont want to derail the god thread too much with
psychedelic talk, but what you describe:
" the first time i
tripped, i opted for mushrooms, and i had two friends with
previous experience around tripping with me; they were
stoked i finally bit the bullet. one guy was seeing, like,
kind of god-beings or whatever walking around; i just saw
the ceiling breathing."

That about sums up my early, probably first 40 experiences.
Always tripped with friends, always DOING something, and
always had a friend trip harder than I did. When I tried
them again as I got older I did them solo. I lay down, close
my eyes, and listen to music.

In this state-- well first I should say, I'm 38 now, not 18,
so my neurons are different-- but when I trip like this I
seem to enter a meditative state, entering space after
space. Meeting weird things. Thoughts like you describe...
they kind of shut off. Ego shuts off. It's just spaces in
the void. I always know I can open my eyes and it will stop,
but most of the time, I don't want it to. Until I get a foot
cramp like that one time on acid. That'll bring you back
quickly.

Anyway none of that would work with friends, or if you're
out at a concert or something. Your most comfortable room,
with your most interesting music on headphones. That's the
ticket.

i ve had a few al lad trips where i could totally focus in
staring at a point in my line of sight, like this total
focus and around it everything becomes mirrored patterns or
things that swirl or whatever. like staring at the void or
something

one of this trips in particular was very mystical I started
doing this point staring in a place i thought (dream logic
kind of thouhgt) was ideal for "baby jesus" (I remember
wanting to speak to god) when some sort of shadowy or
featureless figure crawled out of the void and told me to
"forget about god" and that I was god now

al lad makes weed very intense indeed

And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out what's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
"What's going on?"

I started believing in God after a mushroom trip but after a
few months I thought it was just a psychoses state of mind
and stopped believing. Started tripping again to find out
more about myself and the things I saw. Now I do believe
there's a energy source that's all good, it's called love.
Don't know if that's god or not, it's just there, in the
universe or in my subconscious part of my mind. But that's
definitely real.

I had the same experience a week ago. I took a
hallucinogenic drug and started thinking about how we're all
connected and loved somehow, just by virtue of us being
there. I don't believe in God so I didn't attribute the
sense of awe and wonder I felt, to him. All I thought is
that we're part of a whole and we should appreciate that as
long as we're alive, no matter what happens to us.

It was also cool watching the foliage, leaves, trees, grass
in front of me swirl into a bunch of koch flakes, like the
patterns we can see in fractals. It also reminded me of a
few artists I admire. Hokusai (the Great Wave), Errol John
le Cain (specifically his work on Aladdin and the Wonderful
Lamp, 1981), Hilma Af Klimt (abstract artist). Definitely
accentuated that thought I had about us being part of a
whole. Somehow, observing something completely unrelated
(trees) sprung up a few art pieces I hadn't thought about
for months into my mind. Much to think about

wrong answer

God exists, other Gods are fake, He is one, Love Him, Fear
Him, Sanctify His name, not to Profane His name

He is really real, and exists

Otherwise please explain how the legal system that he
created thousands of years ago carries so much weight in
modern politics without him existing?

Who is fighting Putin and teaching the Ukrainians how to win
big against him? (the Messiah [not Jesus but the real
genuine one])

There's a biblical law that says to treat foreigners well,
and that's what you see in the BBC, pressure on Suella
Braverman(uk home secretary) to treat foreigners well, she
won't last much longer in her job with all the pressure on
her from the biblical law.

Fascism means opposing biblical law, goodness is following
the law. Moses lived thousands of years ago. If he was just
a philosopher who pulled a legal system out of thin air, it
wouldn't be so relevant to today.

We live on a globe, and the nations will merge together
because we are one planet. Perhaps it isn't good to dwell on
reality, everything will be revealed once it's ready to be
revealed.

The Praisers of God are winning. The tyrants like Xi and
Putin will lose.

Most gripes people have with religion were caused by Jesus
Christ and the prophet Mohamed, Jesus was tortured for his
pretending to be the genuine Messiah and the false
prophecying of Mohamed is illegal according to biblical law.
That was reality

the commandments?

5 6 7 8 9 and 10 are common sense. most tribesmen lived like
that long before any monopolization of the holy. so i like
that, that you could live according to gods will just out of
"common sense".

1 & 2 are bullshit and complicate things a lot bro, because
if this was tru the tribesmen or whomever lived according 5
