so long as it's a locals' pub and not some massive congregation of randos, i do believe it's possible to come to someone on a board like this, to be gentle and use humor, to just be honest about it. and that, even while it may not be an immediate difference, perhaps my point will be carried off and considered in a corner and eventually accepted. i like this so much more than some mall cop deleting your posts, talking down to you, perhaps a tempban. just like: man, i've been there. and i have no power here; so obviously i am not making any demands. i'm just trying to help you along the same path |
