for the new track
Witch-Knight of Loch Clonyard (2:33)!

freqy: wolfy I'm enjoying this whislt drinking a cup of tea

muhommad: 🖕

marlowe: A sublime melding of hard hitting late 90s hip hop
and drums forward, dark musique concrète. It brightens up
in transition though; the melody in the second half had me
in tears. Spectacular sequencing. If you only listen to ONE
tune this year, make it the Witch-Knight. 5/5.

belb:

hevquip- this is washed out sounding generic self indulgent
drivel that would have sounded dated in 2008. It packs about
as much punch as my 75 year old mother.

elusive: I listened to while laying in another room 3 doors
down. I could only hear the bass. 2.5/5.

Anus_Presley: grreat worrk

hyperflake: with his crisp digitial production, up and comer
wolfslice shows the world the future of "acid music."
Unforgettable.

SValx: I'm back just to tell you how good this track is and
how handsome you are

russeldust: sounds like a right autechre rip off innit? you
bell end.

phobiazero: This had me doing pelvic thrusts in my office
chair. Let's talk about your future tenure as head
moderator.

Ijonspeches: The radio just called Wolfslice "Das nächste
große ding"

Epic. The only way to be beholden by such a rule is to put
your belief in it in the first place. Thank you for your
review.

mohamed: I'm sorry that I butchered the spelling of your
name above. Every vowel was incorrect and there was an extra
m. I can and will do better. I have a lot of soul searching
to do. Until that day, I have your correct spelling right
here: 🖕

im not sure this idm approach to melodies works, but that's
not just something of you, people insist on proposing idm
melodies and their music sounds like generic waste,
regardless of the level of production.. not keen on this
acid hip hop combo tryout, sorry

Yo I get what you're saying. Even some of the very best at
"melodic IDM" like Proem and Tipper mostly output generic
melodies. But they nail it on occasion too. I'm not close to
their level. Lush pads can make up for melody, but sometimes
I'm just in the mood to ham it up.

Autechre are the only real IDM that can get away with no
real melody (though almost every tune has some kind of
"melodic structure" in its place). They've made such an art
of it.

Proem has like a day job in working in IT. He's still made a
decent amount of money I'd reckon, particularly when he was
on merck. I've seen him live in San Francisco in the mid
2000s, cool show. These days he streams weekly on twitch
which probably supplements his income a bit, enough to buy
his fancy gear. I tuned in once and it was good vibes.

Tipper, I dunno. I think he runs a studio in England. Also I
think he's had his music licensed for adverts and stuff, so
probably some decent revenue there.

But anyway like I said, they're both way, way better than I
am. You gotta shoot the moon though if you want to
incorporate straight melody. Practice will make perfect and
eventually you'll come up with a slapper.

"All eyes on Anus!"

In a stunning reversal, swayed by mohamed (better known as
muhommad), Mr. Anus_Presley changes his review from "grreat
worrk" to "it's crrap."

The court of public opinion turns, but the wheel of justice
moves ever forward.

i had my own collapse-of-autechre moment when my digitakt is
pumping out v-proc because i assigned an lfo to #39, sample
loop. fuck. it's that simple? fuck

Sometimes it seems just that simple. But I truly believe
these freak accidents that occur for us amateurs are applied
by Autechre with surgical precision. They know just what to
do. You made a poor man's V-proc. I love the hip hop nature
of that track btw. The lows come together and growl at you.

it's not bad, a bit plodding but the melody that comes in
right near the end is really nice, lifts it a lot

or should i say, " "

Thanks for the listen!

Do you make music/have any links? It's xlt-politically
correct to reciprocate, but I'd check it out anyway out of
curiosity. Either way I'll pay the listen forward to someone
else. It always feels good to get a couple of comments.
