Any fans of John Lurie? He just released a new book, A History of Bones: A Memoir, which I read and found very interesting. He co-wrote and starred in Jarmusch's "Stranger Than Paradise" and also starred in "Down By Law," composing the music for both. Also a noted saxophonist, both solo and with his jazz "fission" band The Lounge Lizards, see this video: . He also did the very amusing television series "Fishing With John", where each episode he would go fishing with various people, e.g. ice fishing with Willem Dafoe, squid fishing in Thailand with Dennis Hopper, and latterly he had the show "Painting With John". |
