just reflecting upon re-reading this here thred -- i lose things in an organized manner, typically. at least since i started getting too old to pound scotch. that, there is a reason i've lost it: i've made a tactical error somewhere. and this drives me bonkers. this charge is not missing because i'm absent-minded, which i can be. but since i know this, i store things properly, always... and, no, it's missing because i made a stupid decision somewhere along the line. and this actually bugs me much more than not being able to charge the camera battery: i fucked up somehow and until i know how [the precise manner in which i've fucked up] i will be more than a little pissed off. but also unable to charge my camera; figuring it out will essentially be the same waveform collapse as finding the camera battery charger proprietary crap fuck off just do usb batteries or some shit lord help me i need a new camera. do they all force you to log into facebook before taking a foto now? |

at this point, i'm willing to concede i might have done something sloppy, due to how elusive this charge has been. it's not like i'm digging around for it all day, but i take a few minutes here and there, just when i need a break from work or whatever. but it's been a good bit of a search now and i've still only some vague hunches. so i might have knocked it under the couch. but so far -- how british am i allowed to go? -- even a torch can't weld this waveform back down to reality i actually have a theory, when some repair guy was here i had to move stuff around, and... shit, that could be it. a voice in my hed, at the time, saying "yeah you should really come back later and unfuck this tossed aside bunch of stuff" but never did and perhaps... brb |
