Have a "standard service" as it is now and a "premium" (fee
paid) one that has extras like user space to post music/art
etc.

The hardcore fans would pay for the premium service and get
a little extra out of the site and the more casual users
could still come for free.

the premium community would eventually split off into it's
own race......one community pinned against another.....the
hardcore vs the cheap ass no weight pullin mofo's......and
then the monkeys come in......

it would be a travesty to not include Global Communication
(Middleton/Pritchard) related projects.

damn thats a lot of cash...
who's hosting u? glidecom?

have you considered using apache on a lynix box?(sorry if
its already been mentioned) its a hell
of a lot cheaper (a bit slower depending on your
connection); and if you don't feel like setting it up i'm
sure people would donate you some space for
pictures, articles, and other content that doesn't really
need security or much bandwidth(like almost everything but
the message board stuff) just to shave some of the cost off

the check you are writing for web hosting. i know i would
donate some space to the cause!
anyone else have any thoughts on this idea?

just a suggestion...

I wish you best of luck on this project. It would be great
to have such a consolidation. And yes please try to include
Parandinas (µziq).

phobia, you can do a best album ranking of all artists
constantly actualized by the members votes...not only ten or
twenty best albums, but a list of all them...i dont
know...it could be done by rate system...
i suggest...

Phob, will there be any changes to the avatar system? I
don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but when I
update my avatar it stays as is, unless I pick from a select
few and I can't figure out what the requirement is. I've
been attempting to change mine for a while now.

these people unwilling to pay about $15 are fucking
pathetic! that's JUST over $1 per month to continue with
this kick-ass community, except EVEN BETTER! that's about
30cents per WEEK!! 4 cents per DAY!! 0.001 cents per
HOUR!!!

recycle - i'll pay your membership fee if you can't pay it!
don't you worry! you deserve it ;)

It sounds like a great idea.
Hours of fun all on one site.

I agree with Ophecks about the message board, if you look at
the topics on there now, only a few are strictly about AFX,
most are just about electronic music in general, films other
stuff, so i see no need to seperate things out.

And i agree with marlowe about the charge, $15 is nothing,
even a childs pocket money could cover that, it'l be well
worth it.

My i'm being agreable today...
