Are there also Detroit fans on this messageboard? The
weather is so wonderfull these week and i always start to
play my old Detroit records. It sounds more soulfull as AFX,
AE or BOC. Who likes this kind of Electronic dance music
too?

Check Derrick May or Carl Craig, i can't explain. You have
to hear to understand what i mean.

I know them both well. I kind of know what you are hinting
at. For me the music has no soul. It is me that has the soul
and the music just triggers it within me. I find it so
pure.
Does that make sense?
(sleep deprivation is beggining to kick in)

Yes, you can be in right, it's a discussion without end. But
it's a fact that there is big difference between Detroit and
music in the style of AFX, AE and BOC. I'm trying to search
MP3's from the wonderfull Relics album on BUZZ(transmat
compilation), i have played my vinyl copy too much and there
is dawn much noise on it

More Songs About Food & Revolutionary Art is one of my favourite albums. Anyone who
hasn't checked it out should do so now!

I have a bunch of Juan Atkins CDs. His 'Sonic Sunset'
record, under the Model 500 name, is incredible. The synth
work on some of the tracks is so Kraftwerkish. Very minimal
and warm music.

Derrick May, Carl Craig, JUAN "Magic" ATKINS (the
Godfather!), UR (all of 'em), Jeff Mills, DJ Rush, Kevin
Saunderson . . . no, I don't like Detroit Techno at all.

I fucking love it.

And yes, I know what you mean when you say 'soulful'
