..the music is pouring out of my headphones. My old Sh-5 is
set to a great funky delay loop, the LFOs triggering the
envelopes.

I'm fiddling with the Juno-106 keys over the top and then it
happens. I hate it when it does. I play this melody which
really sounds great, but I'm not recording it!

It's like one of those sand castles at the beach, that
nothing will be able to save. I tried to recreate the
moment, but the thing with old funky gear (like the sh-5) is
that, it sounds different from day to day, depending on how
much current my fridge is using at the moment, the alignment
of the moon etc.

It was magic dammit...

you can never recreate the moment, just try and be open and
fresh every time you make music.

that reminds me of the time i was trying to bend my
psr-150(shit on its own)

it gave me some wonderful sounds before it passed, but i
didn't record it... goddamn

it all sounded a lot like geometry-fun, someone else should
try this, get a shitty home keyboard from a pawnshop or
something, run it off batteries, open the bastard up and
start jumping wires, but be sure to record your progress,
because if you don't know what you're doing (like me) it
won't last more than an hour or so.

may the force be with all of you.

you guys should check out the pedals made by Zvex
(www.zvex.com) they're all handmade, and some of them send
use a copper plating that sends out a magnetic field. You
can alter and play with this field by moving your foot or
any solid bject through it which then changes the
characteristics of the effect (distortion, delay, etc.) it's
some pretty wicked stuff, sounds different everytime
