its horrible.
I was playing in a E-music festival last night. In a huge
middle ages wine cellar, and on a 10 Kw wall of speaker.
After the Live, there was Hellfish (a famous English
hardcore Dj) and Simon Underground (another famous english
dj) playing hardcore.
i don't how But Suddenly, After 5 minutes of Hllfish mix,
The sound go hell, It becomes a Patchwork of Big Bass and
full treble, from middle to high frequencies... When i got
out this room, I couldnt hear anything for 5 minutes. then
my ear come back slowly...
Every sounds i heard seems filtered "Aphx style". that was
pretty cool.
But when 2 hours after the end of the show, i realize that i
maybe fucking damaged my ears, i found it less cool. as i
was, and im still half deaf...
Shit. its still whistling....

sorry to hear that, bro. my best friend is in a punk band
adn well you know how their concerts go and of course i'm at
all the band practices as well so i kinda know how you feel.
we all need to start wearing earplugs especially when we go
out on tour from now on. funny thing too i had a dream that
i was being sonically assaulted to where my ears were
bleeding. scary thought.

Yowzers!
If your ears are ringing, then you will get better, if they
are not, then see a doctor,

Actually if your ears are ringing that can be just as bad as
not hearing anything at all. It could be permenant (I'm
pretty sure it isn't this time). Imagine having to go
through life with a constant ringing in your ears. That
would suck.

I went to see orbital last year and stupidly stood next to
the speaker, and my hearing didn't go completely back to
normal for a week and a half. I was quite worried, but day
by day the ringing went down. That tought me a lesson.

yeah that's happened to me more than once, i went completely
def in one ear for a little over 24 hours-
i was soooooooooooooo scared, the only thing i could think
about is how all those pan effects would be useless to me
from now on...
but i got better

Yeah, it was far worse in one ear, but because that was the
one facing the speaker. it was like someone had put a pillow
over it

I have a fear of loud places... music shows and stuff like
that. I have ''weak'' ears... I swear, everyone else seems
to LOVE things really loud, but it takes so little to bother
my delicate little ears.

I would always wear ear plugs to a place like that... one
thing I DON'T want to fuck with is my hearing. Without
music, I have nothing.

me too. But i was a bit drunk. so i said on the moment
"ther's no probz i can handle it." Im angry against my
stupidity, and those so called sound enginneers who full
limited the input on they table.

I wish concerts were played at a normal level. I wouldn't
ever listen to music half as loud, at home or in my car, as
most concerts. It doesn't add any energy to the show it
just pisses me off. A lot of artists are now using ear
plugs. What the fuck. If they need ear plugs don't they
think the audience could use it taken down a notch or two.

I must be too old because it's too loud.

I wholeheartedly agree that concerts should be quieter,
especially if the artists need to wear earplugs. Loud music
can be fun, but when it gets so loud that it hurts, what's
the point?

This was a big old wine cellar.
Wich means high gothic style ceiling with rock walls.
For our live, we needed all the sound to take the all the
place without having to boost wrong frequencies.
Our sound engineer, spend 2 hours after our arrival on site
,for all the EQ for the live, wich was clean and clearly
audible. Thefirst minutes of Hellfish were cool too. but
someone must have messed up the console. still ringing
though

protective of his/her hearing. Think, people.
